President Hinckley

Our sweet prophet and President of the Church died yesterday. He has been such an inspiration to me. I am so grateful for his insights and integrity. I know that he is just blissful at this moment, being able to reunite with Marjorie (his dear wife) and other friends and family. He lived a wonderful life totally dedicated to the Savior, the gospel and to the service of others. Hopefully we can all be more like President Hinckley. God bless him and his family.

Pray

Okay, is this the most incredible sign you've ever seen??? I don't think I've ever seen anything more appropriate in my life. I have prayed about the Book of Mormon and the Bible and that is how I know they are true. I don't know because someone told me to believe. I know they are true because God has witnessed to me of their truthfulness. Please pray about the Book of Mormon and find out for yourself if it is true. I am so thankful for all it teaches me about how to become more Christlike. It testifies of people who lived on the American continent and how the Savior visited them after his resurrection. I know that many religions have wonderful truths in them, but I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mormon.org is a great place to visit if you are curious!

What happens in Vegas . . .

The girls and I went to Vegas over the weekend for our 30th birthday mourning session. We had a blast! We stayed at the Venetian in an incredible suite, ate at some amazing restaurants (thanks to Brooke, Wendy's sister who totally hooked us up at the "Bouchon" possibly the nicest restaurant I've ever been to. It was delightful!) We even got to visit the Garners, our BYU bishop and his wife because they were serving a mission in Las Vegas. I am so grateful for my dear, dear friends. Love you girls!

For the benefit of the grandmas

Darling little linen dress from Aunt Alexsis, Carson and Maddi!

We got out the old amp Kevin used to use for his band in college called "Free Manure" (Their first album was going to be called "U-haul", crazy that no producer ever wanted to pick them up!)

Ian singing the Cougar Fight song. RahRah, RahRahRah, Goooooo Cougars!!!

VitaMix

So, I splurged on a VitaMix the other day. This was totally our breakfast this morning. Nice, eh? It has spinach, wheat grass, flax seed, carrots, frozen berries, celery and agave nectar. Kevin is LOVING his morning shakes. Seriously, I love my VitaMix. It will blend anything!

Can you say S P O I L E D???

Yes, it was a BIG Christmas this year, thanks to all the grandparents. Grandpa Jim came through with a Gator! Ian went ballistic! Meggie got many cool things, but my heart just melted when we opened her very first Cabbage Patch kid from Uncle Nate, Aunt Alexsis, Carson and Maddi. We had a wonderful time in Montana. Lots of family, food, and fun. I love that Ian finally know who Santa is and gets all excited! Kevin got me the best present. I received an award for being the "Best Home Chef" (this is only funny to those of you who know how much my husband LOVES to eat out). We laughed and laughed and laughed when I opened it. He's the best.
