Our Annual Clark, Cox, Smith Reunion

Oh Boy do we love these people!  And they must like us, because they keep coming back each year.  (Wait a minute, they probably just keep coming back because of Tahoe.  If we ever move to the middle of Wyoming, we'll see if they keep coming to see us, then we will really know if they like us or not!)
 Smith Family
 Cox Family
Clark Family (Wendy in her fabulous swimsuit that she bought on our Girls' trip to San Francisco a few months earlier.  We all unanimously decided she looks like Marilyn Monroe in it.)
 The hike overlooking Donner Lake

The kids made candy necklaces, which was a HUGE success.
Melt. My. Heart. Hailey. Bug.

Yes, Mr. Hasselhoff, I will marry you.

Just a bunch of nerds playing Dungeons and Dragons in the back of the game store at the mall. Every single night.  (okay, it was Settlers of Catan, but we are nerds about it.)

All the kids (sans 2) on our Nature Scavenger Hunt.

The boys gave us a sweet muscle show.

Megan went to cheerleading camp this summer and now gives a cheer pose whenever possible.

The sewing club.  No boys were allowed into this exclusive club.  They had so much fun together.
The girls with our kiddos.  I feel so grateful and blessed to have Jean and Wendy in my life.  Thank you all for making the drive.  We love you!!

Tahoe Truckee Air Fair 2012

Kevin has been busy this summer planning the 2012 Air Fair.  They haven't had an Air Fair at our airport since 1996, so this was a big venture for the Airport staff and community.  It went fabulous.  10,000 visitors, tons of airplanes, games, food, great music, craft booths, and fun.

Two Tuskegee Airmen were the Honorary Dignitaries.  The kids got to Meet Captain Les Williams.  Kevin and I went to a fancy schmancy dinner honoring the Tuskeegee Airmen the night before.  Their story is incredible.

The kids got to ride around on the back of Kevin's golf cart.  Here there are eating strawberries and cream from the local EAA chapter.  They think they're such big deals.

Playin

What has the Smith Family been up to this summer?  It has gone so quickly and I have been such a procrastinator at posting anything (maybe it's because it takes seriously 5 minutes for each picture to upload.  Yes, we need a new computer.  Yes, I am too cheap to buy one.)
Truckee Parks and Rec opened a new BMX track and boy have we worn that baby out!  I think we've brought home no less than 7 buckets of dirt from all the playing we've done there.  Ian is particularly enamored with it.
We like to go to a park that the kids call our "secret park" because no one else is ever there.  It is a lovely little place.
