First Day of School

Ian had his first day of Kindergarten and Meg her first day of Preschool last week.  Yes, I had some very mixed emotions.  But seriously, Ian was so ready to go.  He could hardly contain his excitement.  His teacher is Mrs. Kregel and he can remember her name because it is just like Santa Claus. (isn't that convenient?)  The first day of Kindergarten was a 2 hour orientation, where I got to go with him the whole time.  (even though I think he would have preferred going by himself.)  The second day of Kindergarten was a full day and he loved every second of it.  He even took it upon himself to go in the hot lunch line (even though his mother had packed him a healthy fun-filled sack lunch because she is not about going to pay $3.75 a day for lunch!)
All in all, the first week of school went great!

King Visit Summer 2011

Kevin's favorite sister and her kiddos came to visit us!  It was so wonderful to see them!  We spent tons of time at the beach and the cousins got to play, play, play!

Cute little Bailey with Meg and Ian.

Parker is so buff!

Um Grandpa, let me help you with your sunscreen :)

G&G are so extreme!

Parker and Bailey Kayaking.  Bailey LOVED it (hahahaha!)

Ian has officially claimed the yellow kayak as his kayak.  He has become quite the little paddler.

Kevin and Parker went snorkeling out among the boulders.

Holden and Ian pretending to snorkel.

Miniature golfing in Tahoe City.

Hiking at the Donner lookout.

Buddies.

We found this cool 150 year old HUGE train tunnel to drive through.  Very creepy, but very fun!

We love you guys!

G&G Tahoe Visit

I was so excited to have my parents visit, they had come last winter, but had yet to see Tahoe in the Summer.  It was one of the best times we've ever spent together.  Really, we had a genuinely wonderful time!

Donner Lake lookout.

Kayaking on Tahoe.  (Ian like to call it "rakanoeing")

Mom and I went on a long kayak adventure.  So peaceful and fun!
Our on our new jet ski.
I am such a good mother.  My kids ONLY eat healthy, nutrient dense food and drink.

Biking and hiking on Legacy Trail.  Ian said it was the "best bike ride ever!"

On the Gondola at Northstar Resort.

Had to cut Kevin out of this picture because he was making a goofy face.

Thanks mom and dad!  Can't wait until next year!
