It is hard to know what to write. We are learning to press forward and find more joy in our lives. We are thinking and praying and loving our little David everyday. This picture is from the day of the service.
The kids got a Halloween package from Uncle Joel, Aunt Robbin and family. You should have heard the squeals of delight while we were opening it. I can't get them out of their Halloween shirts that were included in the package. I got in BIG trouble yesterday because Ian's Halloween shirt was dirty and he had to wear something else.
We keep asking the kids what they want to be for Halloween. Ian's responses have included, a lightbulb, a snowman, a marshmellow, batman, and an airplane. Hmmmm . . . I'm really not one of those super creative moms, it looks like a batman suit from Walmart will be what we go with. Unless someone has a great idea of how to make a three year old look like a lightbulb!

Love the vampire teeth! Hmmm... a lightbulb... stuff a white garbage sack with newspaper and some gray pants...yeah I'd go with the Batman suit too! You look great and the kiddos are as cute as ever! Glad to know that you're doing well and pressing forward! We love you guys, you're not far from our thoughts each day!
I will have a Batman this year also... we got it from Halloween USA. I think if I really wanted to I could come up with something more 'creative' but why? Walmart makes it so easy ;)
My kids saw that picture and the love the teeth; I can totally realate to the kids not wanting to take clothes off... They are so funny that way.
I laughed out loud that their shirts are now their favorite...wait...only thing that they want to wear! I can actually hear them squeeling!
Hmmm...a lightbulb?? That could take some creative thinking - unfortunately my vote is for the Walmart costume, too.
Your family picture was cute. I've been wondering how you are doing and thinking about you a lot. I sure love you.
When you have a second, will you email me your phone number again? I can't find it anywhere, which isn't surprising but I'd like to have it (and I promise not to bug you too much). (melgunnell@hotmail.com)
Amanda...your family is beautiful. Hmmm...just wait until your daughter only wants to wear princess this or that...or wants to be Gabriella off of High School Musical. I miss the 'little kid' costumes like lightbulbs. I am so impressed by your family. Drop me a note sometime.
It's so good to hear that you guys are doing well. I love that we know what comes after this life, it make these moments a little easier to get through.
Hey! Bring the kids to see the house again for Halloween, they might like playing in the fog. :)
Take Care
They look so cute in their Halloween shirts. A lightbulb eh? ... kids crack me up.
Aren't Holidays so extremely fun with kids?! I love it!!
Looks like you have two scary vampires on your hands! It was good to talk to you the other day. Love ya!!
Amanda,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Your family is beautiful and it was wonderful seeing your warm smile and beauty that is always radiant!
